Brand: Louis Vuitton
Year: 2002
Model: Tasha Tilberg
Photographers: Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott
In 2002 fashion photo duo, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott teamed up with Louis Vuitton to create the brand's fairy tale-inspired spring/summer 2002 ad campaign. Tasha Tilberg starred as Snow White and in one ad she trekked through the forrest with seven dwarves. In the fashionable ad above... Tasha's Snow White fell into a deep sleep beside a red Epi leather Louis Vuitton bag after biting a poisoned apple.
Louis Vuitton filed suit against Warner Bros. in federal court in New York on Thursday alleging that a Louis Vuitton handbag featured in the movie The Hangover Part II is a fake.
The bag in question appears in an airport scene where Alan (played by Zach Galifianakis) carries a piece of Louis Vuitton luggage marked "LVM" and warns Stu (played by Ed Helms), "Careful, that is... that is a Louis Vuitton."
In the complaint, Louis Vuitton claims that the bag featured in the film is not a real designer bag. The French luxury retailer claims that the bag that was used was a fake (made by a company called Diophy) and the studio never received permission to call the fake bag a "Louis Vuitton".
The luxury brand additionally claimed that the Warner Bros. ignored initial instructions not to use a fake bag in The Hangover Part II and the studio also refused to alter the bag scene before the film was released on DVD earlier this year. Louis Vuitton is now seeking to stop the future release of the scenes with the fake handbag, as well as a share of profits from the film.

For the second year in a row, Gucci is the most searched fashion brand online. That's according to Microsoft's Bing search engine, whose annual search-trends list was released this week.
French fashion house Chanel fell to the fifth position on the fashionable list after securing the number two spot last year - Ralph Lauren now occupies the second most searched spot on Bing.com.
Other interesting appearances on the annual search trends list include the late Coco Chanel and John Galliano. The release of several Coco Chanel biographies this year meant that there was a renewed interest in the designer's fascinating life while John Galliano's name was linked to endless media reports. Galliano was found guilty of racist and anti-Semitic remarks following his arrest at a Paris bar in February.
Top Searched Fashion Brands On Bing in 2011

2. Ralph Lauren
3. Y-3
4. Louis Vuitton
5. Chanel
6. Guess
7. J. Crew
8. Coco Chanel

Above is a photo of Sojourner Morrell's foot as she walked the runway at the Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2012 show on the last day of Paris Fashion Week. Badly bruised and blistered -- Sojourner's battered foot is the result of four weeks of endless model castings and strutting in ill-fitting heels on the runways of New York, London, Milan and Paris.
New York Magazine calculated that the 20-year-old model and former equestrian had walked for 14 designers (including: Tom Ford, Giles Deacon and Marc Jacobs) in the last month, all of whom showed sky-high stilettos.
The bruises on Sojourner's foot are an example of a model injury that is very common during Fashion Week. Designer shoes that are used for runway shows, like the clothes, are usually a sample size... so unless the model walking in them wears a size 40 they are squeezing their feet into heels that are too small, or trying not to fall out of heels that are too big.
Doesn't it hurt just looking at the snap of Sojourner's foot.
For decades Palermo's Ucciardone prison has been known to its inmates as "The Grand Hotel" – a place where well-connected mafiosi walk around wearing well-cut suits. But now things are going to change... Italian criminals have been banned from wearing designer suits in prison.
The new governor, Rita Barbera, has placed a ban on designer labels such as Armani, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Valentino and Versace and they are no longer permitted inside the walls of the Sicilian jail.
The wives of the prisoners have been left less than happy with Barbera's new rules. "My husband will be left naked," said one. "He only has designer clothes, and that's not because he's flashy but because they last much longer and are better quality. Why humiliate him? Why force us to buy clothes at street markets?

Here's a look at some of the highlights from Paris Fashion week.

Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti presented his sophomore men's collection on Thursday afternoon in Paris... campy costumes (with little sidewalk appeal) dominated the runway. Classics-with-a-twist dominated the runway at the 2012 spring/summer Louis Vuitton runway presentation. Jean Paul Gaultier's quirky 2012 spring collection for men featured an abundance of Hawaiian prints... some cool... some questionable.

Riccardo Tisci offered bold patterns on many of the pieces within the 2012 spring/summer Givenchy collection. The August issue of Harper's Bazaar features Smurfette (yes Smurfette from The Smurfs) modelling this fall's must-have accessories in honor of the upcoming Smurfs movie. In the fashion spread, Smurfette steps out in "the hottest shoes, handbags, hats and jewellery; dancing in Dolce & Gabbana, looking lovely in Marc Jacobs and Lanvin and prancing in Vuitton."

Angelina Jolie's first ad for Louis Vuitton's "Core Values" campaign was released today, confirming previous reports that the actress would pose for the luxury brand.
The ad was shot by Annie Leibovitz and features Angelina on a boat in Cambodia's Siem Reap province wearing her own clothes with little makeup. Sitting beside her... her own years-old monogrammed Alto bag. BTW... Louis Vuitton's Alto bag, is a discontinued style but Vuitton's executive vice president Pietro Beccari told WWD, "We are considering to re-edit it."
The "Core Values" advertisments are set to run for the next 18 months and will feature Angelina and other celeb-humanitarians such as Bono.
