The 2011 MTV European Music Awards took over Belfast's Odyssey Arena in Northern Ireland on Sunday night and music's finest hit the red carpet to celebrate!
Here's a look at a few of the celebs who walked the red pink carpet.
Before hosting the awards bash Selena Gomez walked the carpet wearing a cream-coloured Marchesa mini. Hayden Panettiere wore a print Tibi dress. Supermodel Bar Refaeli wore a custom-made dress by Replay.
Lady Gaga has scored another fashionable magazine cover. Visionaire has just released their largest issue yet and it features Gaga on the cover dressed as a mermaid in black paint. The magazine is also a record-breaking seven feet tall.
The "Larger Than Life" issue features the pop star as the cover subject because "no contemporary figure symbolizes Larger Than Life" more than she does. Gaga was photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin for the front and back covers of the issue.
Visionaire 61 is available in two limited editions. The standard edition of the mag is limited to only 2,500 numbered copies and measures just over three feet by four feet. It costs $375. As for the world record breaking version of the magazine... there are only 250 copies available that will sell for $1,500 each.
Remember Lady Gaga's infamous Franc Fernandez meat dress that she wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards? Well it's still making headlines. PETA is urging the pop star to forget about meat dresses and embrace vegetarianism during her visit to India this weekend and wear a dress made of lettuce.
Gaga is in India this weekend to perform at a special concert celebrating the country’s first Formula One race. In a letter to the singer's publicist, PETA India said that they are hoping that "Mother Monster" would honor India's reverence for animals and pose for a few pictures wearing a custom created veggie frock to promote the importance of not eating meat. According to PETA's Sachin Bangera, the lettuce dress would be custom made for Gaga and would take nearly six hours to construct.
"If she agrees, we'll make her a dress entirely of lettuce and held together by pins and threads. It will be a full length gown, and we'll make sure it looks sexy... someone will be on hand to spray the lettuce with water so that it doesn't wilt." - Sachin Bangera
Aren't you glad to know that the veggie-friendly dress would come with someone to spray it with water.
There is one award show that takes place every August that prompts stars to seriously play it up on the red carpet... the MTV Video Music Awards. In the past we've seen everything including jaw-dropping fashions and a little lot of skin. It's traditionally a night that MTV fans and the fashion press live for... but something was different at this year's musical bash. Non-stop outrageous ensembles became borderline annoying and I was left wondering when did the MTV Music Awards become a big (slightly tragic) costume party?
Truth be told - the 28th annual VMA's was an unfashionable disaster. The red carpet packed with musicians desperately looking for 15 minutes from the fashion press.
Nicki Minaj looked pathetic wearing an outfit that was basically a culmination of toys and a surgical mask from Japanese designer Shojono Tomo. Kreayshawn opted for a sparkly Mickey and Minnie Mouse dress and a pair of red Nike low-heel sneakers. Jessie J excessively sparkled and even used bedazzled crutches for her broken foot. Lady Gaga performed in drag as her alter-ego Jo Calderone wearing a Uniqlo t-shirt, Brooks Brothers pants and a pair of Dr. Martens. Finally Katy Perry spent the night changing from one ridiculous costume to another. Most notable was her Christian Dior fall/winter 2011 Couture ensemble which included a pastel pink top with a huge yellow button and a black and white tulip skirt. A square yellow Stephen Jones hat and multi-coloured Giuseppe Zanotti wedges finished things off.
There's fashionable creativity and then there are desperate cries for attention. No?

Lady Gaga appeared in a spoof commercial for "Gaga Goo Goo babywear" on last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. In the faux commercial, toddlers wobbled around wearing miniaturized versions of some of Gaga's most famous ensembles including: the sculptured green Armani leotard that she wore to perform with Elton John at the Grammys in 2009, the Alexander McQueen red lace costume that she wore to accept her 2009 Best New Artist VMA, the infamous meat dress from the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards that designer Franc Fernandez and stylist Nicola Formichetti put together, the Hussein Chalayan-esque bubble dress that she wore during The Fame Ball Tour and the Kermit the Frog coat that was made by designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac.
MAC just announced that Ricky Martin and Nicki Minaj will be its 2012 Viva Glam spokespeople, replacing Lady Gaga. Ricky Martin is the campaign's third male spokesperson after Elton John in 2001 and Boy George in 2004 and Nicki is pretty much a perfect choice.
Every year MAC releases a limited edition Viva Glam lipstick and 100% of the proceeds go to the MAC AIDS Fund. ($224 million has been raised from sales of the lipstick to date) The campaign images are always bold and tend to create a stir by using diverse spokespeople to reflect the brand's "all ages, all races, all sexes" credo.
Ricky and Nicki are in Miami today shooting the Viva Glam ad campaign with superstar photographer David La Chapelle.
The MuchMusic Video Awards is one of Canada's biggest nights. The musical evening night was filled with excitement, music and a little bit of fashion.
Here's a look at some of the stars who walked the red carpet at MuchMusic's Toronto headquarters on Sunday night.
Justin Bieber wore a T-shirt with Tiffani Thiessen's Saved by the Bell character, Kelly Kapowski under a pale pink Dolce and Gabbana blazer. Selena Gomez hit the red carpet wearing a champagne coloured Burberry Prorsum dress and a pair of purple Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toe pump. Twilight star Nikki Reed walked the red carpet with her fiance Paul McDonald wearing a black and white strapless cocktail dress with sequin detail by Ronald Abdala.
Monday night the Council of Fashion Designers of America held its annual awards bash in New York and Lady Gaga was on hand to pick up the Fashion Icon Award. When Gaga took to the stage to accept her fashionable award, she shared with the audience:
"I can't believe I'm allowed in here. As an anecdote I thought I might tell this story, I wasn't sure. But when I was told I won this award, Anna Wintour sent me a text message. She text messages. So she sent me a text message, and it said, 'We're so excited to tell you you won the CFDA fashion icon award. And I actually thought it was Anna Treblin, who was one of my very close friends and [my stylist] Nicola's assistant, who I go out and have drinks with all the time. So I have a couple Annas in my phone, so my reply was, 'Yes, bitch, we did it.' So quite quickly I got a reply that said, 'How lovely, and we will all be waiting to see what you will wear.' And then I thought, 'Well won't you be helping me choose what I will wear?' And then I said, 'Oh! it's Anna Wintour.'"
Apparently only Lady Gaga can call Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour a bitch and get away with it.
Michael Jackson's iconic red jacket from the "Thriller" video is hitting the auction block in Beverly Hills in a few weeks - and it's expected to fetch $400,000.
The autographed jacket (Michael personally autographed it for his former costume designers) is just one of several MJ items up for auction this month. Also up for grabs... the wig Michael wore at his "This Is It" news conference in London (um... yuk) and a sparkling glove that he wore at the American Music Awards.
Over 600 collectible items will be available at Julien's "Music Icons" auction that will be held in California on June 25th and 26th. Fashionable memorabilia from the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Madonna and Lady Gaga will also be on hand.
