Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana sent slick suits down the runway but the core of the collection was filled with "net" pieces - the sort a fisherman might use. For Burberry Prorsum's 2012 men's collection Burberry’s chief creative officer Christopher Bailey took classic looks and reimagined them with an artsy-craftsy theme. Daniele Cavalli co-designed the Roberto Cavalli 2012 spring/summer collection with his famous father presenting narrow suits and dapper separates that ozed a cool confidence.

T-shirts, shorts and seriously tailored pieces dominated the Vivienne Westwood 2012 spring/summer collection. Miuccia Prada sent a youthful collection of colourful gulf-inspired threads down the runway on Sunday for Prada's upcoming men's collection. Calvin Klein offered space-odyssey-meets-athleticism on the Milan runway.

Sarah Burton sent a collection of looks that would be perfect for any romantic rocker down the Alexander McQueen runway on Monday evening. Versace's vibrant runway was an ode to Gianni Versace's Nineties heyday.

Canadian twins Dean and Dan Caten sent an army of buff boys down the Milan runway showing off a collection filled with distressed denim, coloured khakis, cotton blazers and rock ’n’ roll leather jackets... seriously skimpy bathing suits also made appearances. Traditional men's wear motifs such as the chevron, check, houndstooth and pinstripe dominated the runway at the Giorgio Armani 2012 spring/summer runway presentation.

Giorgio Armani is a serious basketball fan. WWD reports that Giorgio Armani is donating 42 million euros (approx. $57.9 million) over the next three years to the Milan-based basketball team... Olimpia Armani Jeans.
Olimpia Armani Jeans is a real basketball team with real players and the Italian fashion designer is not only a major sponsor... he is a partial owner.
Armani's fashionable sports donations don't end there... back in October, Giorgio Armani said that he would donate 2.4 million euros (approx. $3.3 million) to restore Milan’s historical Palalido sports center.
