Social networking is everywhere so why not on your feet?
This week Glasgow designer Gerry McKay imagined what shoe collaboration between Adidas and your favourite social networking tools might look like and created his own version of Adidas Superstar shoes that feature Facebook and Twitter's logo and color palette.
Gerry's designs are only a concept, for now... but would you wear social networking inspired shoes?
From time to time Babelgum releases hysterical videos of cute kids reenacting our favourite TV shows. They've done The Hills and Jersey Shore so naturally... Project Runway is next.
Too cute. My personal fave is probably little Michael Kors. I love when he informs one of the designers that his creation ended up looking "like Princess Jasmine showed up drunk to Little Mermaid's birthday party."
The April edition of Elle Spain reminds readers that fashion can be fun with an amusing spread featuring your favourite fashion designers as Disney characters. “La Moda Animada” was illustrated by Ulrich Schröder and features Karl Lagerfeld as the Big Bad Wolf, Donatella Versace as Daisy Duck, Marc Jacobs as Donald Duck and Dolce & Gabbana as Goofy and Mickey Mouse!
Yup... you read that title right... The cast of Mad Men is going to be getting the "Barbie Treatment". Mad Men characters Don and Betty Draper, Roger Sterling and Joan Holloway will be the latest screen stars to be turned into plastic now that Mattel has purchased the licensing rights to design a collection of Barbie & Ken dolls patterned after series.
They will be fashionable... they will be fun... each doll will be styled in iconic 1960’s costumes and come with some fun accessories that suit the character. On Tuesday March 23rd the season three DVD box set hit the shelves and will include exclusive collectible sketches of the dolls and then the actual collectible dolls will go on sale this summer for around $75.00 at select retailers and at BarbieCollector.com — just in time for the fourth season of the critically-acclaimed cable series.
What do you think? Are you a Mad Men fan? Would you actually buy one?
