This morning Heidi Klum and Seal confirmed that they are separating. The couple married on May 10, 2005 and have 4 children together (Seal adopted Heidi's daughter from a prior relationship shortly after the wedding and the couple had 3 children during their almost seven years of marriage). They released the following statement to People earlier today:
"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate.
We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.
We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy."

Elisha hit the red carpet at the People's Choice Awards and later took to the stage wearing the black silk-chiffon gown with gold leather-lace detailing that was shown on the spring runway at Toronto Fashion Week in October.
