Stella McCartney ads are never typical and for this fall, the British designer has tapped British artist Barry Reigate to illustrate her fall 2010 ad campaign. Natalia Vodianova stars in the ad that was shot by superstar photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Here's a look at Stella's whimsical fall 2010 ads.
What do you think of the cartoonish letters, top hats, paint splotches, pumpkins and spiders all over McCartney’s logo — and clothing? (Photos courtesy of: www.stellamccartney.com)

I like it! I don't believe there is a skirt under that coat!

Is it possible she's wearing a black pencil skirt under the coat?

i like it!

The first thought I had was that the non-cartoonish lettering reminded me of her fathers 'Venus and Mars' album artwork.

The picture on the left is weird. They've photoshopped out her body - there is only gray coat where her pelvis should be - unless she is so oddly proportioned that her cl*t is right below her navel

The only 'Wacky' thing in here is that the girl is hungry!, so can someone please, please give her some foooood!

I personally think it does not look wacky at all. I love the first photo and I think the lettering is different, unique and fun. And I agree with vougeboy and tennissets comments. Why did this make the news, is beyond me.

I think you might be confused about the definition of "wacky" - the word you're actually looking for is "pedestrian".

Christopher, You don't have a clue about fashion editorial do you? About ad execs? How about fashion marketing? No??? Didn't think so.
I've been in this industry for over 15 years, albeit the NA market, Where we ALL know it's more conservative than the British or European market.
The ONLY thing wacky about this whole thing is your attempt at generating internet traffic to this site on an otherwise slow news day.

I can't believe this is news. The clothes look beautiful and relatively conservative. The bright little cartoon designs are charming and catch the viewers eye which is what the ad agency is trying for of course. Cute, but inocuous.

this is worth worrying about? Are you kidding?

Love the cartoon designs! However, what's with the photoshop job, especially on her legs. It's super creepy looking.

Looks ok to me. I like the bright colours and funky stuff. Is there supposed to be a hidden message or something?
