Love her or hate her... you have to admit Lady Gaga’s red carpet ensembles are an event themselves and now her videos are finding themselves worthy of some serious fashion commentary. Remember the over-the-top Alexander McQueen threads in the Bad Romance video last year?

Late Thursday night Lady Gaga released the her latest music video for the song “Telephone” which features Beyonce and... the fashion is... well kinda epic. It’s definitely one of the most fashion forward displays we have seen since... well since her “Bad Romance” video. If you haven't had the chance to check it out yet here it is:

The video is pretty crazy. Actually the words I used when I first saw it on Friday morning were "that video is wack". Wack or not the fashion is truly over-the-top and that's what I talk about in this blog. Here’s a look at all the killer fashion that can be found in the 9 minute video which was directed by Jonas Akerlund:

Telephone by Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga in Jean-Charles de Castelbajac

The video starts off with Lady Gaga being escorted to her jail cell wearing a cleavage baring custom made black and white outfit by the ever imaginative French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. Remember that crazy Kermit the Frog coat we saw Gaga wear last year... same designer. The sunglasses are courtesy of Mercura.

Telephone by Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga wears Brian Lichtenberg Caution Tape Design

The crime scene tape design that Gaga writes around her cell wearing was created by LA based designer Brian Lichtenberg.

Telephone by Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga Wears Viktor & Rolf

The custom made jumpsuit and chain outfit that Gaga wears as she is escorted out to the prison yard was created by Viktor & Rolf... while the very cool lit cigarette sunglasses and crazy platform heels were custom designed by the creative team behind Lady Gaga known as “the Haus of Gaga”. Those smoking cigarette sunglasses are just insane don’t you think?

Telephone by Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga in Search and Destroy and Chanel

Back inside the jail... Gaga’s studded jacket is by Search and Destroy while here sunglasses are Chanel. Notice the Diet Coke can hair rollers? That little detail is one of my fave things in the video. When it is time for the first dance sequence Gaga and her dancers strip down to wear studded/crystallized barely there bikinis designed by the team at the “Haus of Gaga”.

Telephone by Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga and Beyonce in Vintage Thierry Mugler

When Lady Gaga is released from the big house she does it up in a vintage outfit and over-sized hat by Thierry Mugler. Enter Beyonce wearing a vintage Thierry Mugler hat and outfit.

Telephone by Lady Gaga - Beyonce in Atsuko Kudo

Next Beyonce struts her stuff through the dinner wearing a skin tight yellow "Wonder Cup Pencil Dress" dress and hat by Atsuko Kudo who are known for their sexy couture latex designs. The Mickey Mouse inspired flip sunglasses which we have seen Gaga wear a few times before are courtesy of Jeremy Scott.

Telephone by Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga in a Rachel Barrett Dress

During the “Let's Make A Sandwich” sequence Gaga wears clear silicone rubber Rachel Barrett dress... Gaga performed in a similar Rachel Barrett dress on her Monster Ball tour. She wears a Fred Butler constructed telephone hat and a pair of Haus of Gaga papier-mâché boots. When she waitresses her way into the diner the blue telephone hat is replaced with a telephone hair piece created by celeb hairstylist Danilo.

Telephone by Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga in House of Gaga and Beyonce in Oscar Olima

For the big dance sequence with our girls we get Gaga in an American flag bikini outfit by Haus of Gaga and boots by Christian Louboutin. Beyonce dances along in a similar dress by Oscar Olima. (BTW... Gaga has worn L.A.'s Olima designs numerous times in the past year...) The background dancers wear custom made denim outfits by Franc Fernandez and Oscar Olima and leather outfits by Noki, Bess and Haus of Gaga.

Telephone by Lady Gaga - Beyonce in Jean Charles De Castelbajac

Beyonce’s solo scene in a baby blue hotel room has her wearing a bling jacket and shoes by Jean Charles de Castebaljac. The denim shorts she’s wearing are by Franc Fernandez and Oscar Olima.

Telephone by Lady Gaga - Leopard Outfit by Haus Of Gaga

Next up we get Lady Gaga dancing solo in a custom made ribbed leopard 1piece by Haus of Gaga.

Telephone by Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga and Beyonce wear Emilie Pirlot

The video ends off with both Lady Gaga and Beyonce dancing in front of Quentin Tarantino’s infamous “pussy wagon” from the Kill Bill series. Both wear cowboy hat with sheer draping by Emilie Pirlot.

And that’s that! Exhausting right! What do you think of the video... do you have a fave part... and more importantly what do you think of all of the studs, the revealing outfits and those crazy hats and head-pieces? Let me know.

This Lady has got talent.Love her style. This studded black leather biker jacket makes her so hot. Would love that jacket and all those studs!!!!

MY FAVOURITE part is when Gaga is thrown in her cell and she climbs onto her cell bars and her cooch is blurred and the guards say "I told you she didn't have a penis".
Love it. Take that you haters.
Fav accessory was her cigarette glasses! OMG! Are you kidding? Rediculous!
Love it.
Favourite outfit would have to be the diet coke popcan rollers and studded jacket by Search and Destroy.
Love it. Love her.

I would like to say to Jay631, and other people like him, women are not put on this earth for your sexual edification. A woman can wear anything she likes. Some of us don't care if you find us attractive. We have better things to do than turn you on.

This video will likely win the best video of the year Award for creativity. It is highly entertaining, funny and imaginative. I love Lady Gaga, she and the team behind Gaga put the fun back into music. Of course Beyonce' Rocks. GO Gaga GO!

The ugliest woman in music should never put on clothing like that

I'm a 67 year old woman who has finally found someone in the music business that I really like. Very inventive chick that Lady Gaga!

I found it disgusting. I remember when Madonna came out in the 80's and people were appalled at her state of undress but at least she had talent when it came to the music. The artists today can't create great music like the artists of yesterday like Madonna, Cindi Lauper and the Stones. They rely on pealing off their clothes to draw people in. Kind of scares me what the music industry holds for the future if it's this bad now.

i think it is a complete uplift to boring videos lady gaga and beyonce you rock from grampa

It was inspiring and a major display of an artist being true to themselves. Loved all the studs Chistopher. Unfortunately, she is starting to become repetitive even with her fashion. We've seen the poison thing before etc etc etc. Still love her though. Shorter version of the video will be needed for mainstream though as it takes away from the song but, the fashion is exceptional. Not the song I was hoping she would release next but, enjoyed it all the same.

LOVED it! Now I'm not a huge follower of pop culture but from the first time I watched this video my immediate thought was that it was very Tarantino-Kill Bill-Pulp Fiction-meets-Thelma and Louise. And after reading the breakdown of all the outfits and the origin of the Pussy Wagon I'm glad to see that I wasn't far off the mark, lol. She is a real innovative visionary.

Alright........ that was seriously very cool.
I hate saying it but I am starting to like Lady Gaga.

I think the video was GREAT!!! The fashion, the jail and restaurant dance scenes, and the story line were all very entertaining!!!! I wonder how it will be continued???
